ePUB Essential HTML & CSS (343)
There is more to producing a quality reflowable ePUB than simply pressing the export button. Today's ePUB production software does not always produce the best markup and formatting. Hence many ePUBs sold today are frankly embarrassing. The long term success of your ePUB publishing program depends on producing a quality product. What to do? The simplest and most direct way to fix such problems is to edit the ePUB file itself, after export. Fortunately, it isn't hard, but you need to know the codes. This class provides a gentle introduction to the HTML, CSS and XML behind ePUBs. It covers what you need to know to produce superior ePUBs, including the essential coding skills you need to understand ePUB internals and to help you a master fine tuning your final ePUB. Unlike our other HTML/CSS classes, this class focuses only on the codes that are relevant to ePUBs and covers the topic with specific attention to ePUB limitations. This knowledge will give you better control so the ePUBs you produce can be more attractive and functional. If you are already well-versed with HTML/CSS/XML you may be able to skip this class in the series. No prerequisite: This workshop is part of a series. If you are not already familiar with coding, definitely take this class before progressing to the third and final class in the series. | |
